Abstract

The article intends to examine the didactic potential and problems of the immersive historical game through the case study of the urban game La profezia di Venturi, realised by PopHistory ETS in the school year 2023-2024. The analysis will first focus on the concept of the historical game and then observe how history can be disseminated through this media even within classrooms. Finally, The Venturi Prophecy will be studied and particular attention will be paid to the process that led to its creation and the actors that were involved. Within the text, the authors have written the following parts: Gian Luca Gonzato the introduction; Igor Pizzirusso the second section, dedicated to playful didactics; Giorgio Uberti and Stefania Cogliani section three together and sections four and five individually. The conclusions are the work of all four authors.
