The environmental issue in Brazil from the perspective of production and consumption

Abstract

This paper aims to think about some historic aspects of Brazil, as regards to socio-environmental issues resulting from production and consumption practices related to animal agriculture activities, which are the main responsibles for the historical environmental impacts. The importance of posture chances in society and the knowledge of the environmental history, that follows evolution and considers man as an integral part of nature, are issues of great value for reflection on the current world scenario. In this context, the history contributes to the understanding of past events, that reflect their consequences in the present and are able to change the future. This argument is more significant when it is about Environmental History related to the understanding of the behavior of society, over time.
