“Desafío entre reporteros del pasado”: an educational experience to teach Edad de la Plata and Spanish Civil War though gamification, cooperation and digital tools

This paper presents an educational experience designed to teach a number of key events of the Edad de la Plata and Spanish Civil War to year five students who study Spanish as a foreign language at the Dante Alighieri Classic Liceum Ravenna. The aim of this educational path i to promote situated and cooperative learning through gamification and digital tools. Cognitive and affective learning objectives are the situated study of the main historical events of the Spanish historical context from 1898 to 1939, the development of awareness and creativity in using digital tools and the promotion of cooperation in the classroom. The path is made up of missions that challenge students to collect, select, critically employ historical information and make use of the foreign language as a tool to communicate, collect and recreate information, make and play games.Downloads
