In this essay we present the project of confrontation with history for schoolchildren and parents, using reenactors of ancient times as mediating characters. The stories of the inhabitants of past centuries, their uses, and their foods, told through different languages both at the nursery and at the kindergarten are the main topics. In addition to the workshops and installations in the schools, families have been involved through meetings, in tele-conferences intended for the presentation of the project and knowledge of the historical-environmental context which inspires it. The path ends with a collective occasion aimed at contacting the civic museum and the archaeological area of reference, intended as assets of knowledge and memory, places where authentic material testimonies refer to the themes of the workshops and the experiences carried out are found.
