Abstract

We want to present you the role play experience which took place at the Junior Secondary School in Chievo (Verona). It was a special day: the school was divided into two sections by two high walls on the two floors of the school building (East Fainell and West Fainelli) and the number of the students was divided into two big groups, too, independently of which class they belonged to. The students on one side of the wall couldn’t meet the students on the other side of the wall because of the physical barriers. This gave the opportunity to learn, to discuss and to listen to several reports and witnesses from different people about the well-known divisions in the past and in the present all over the world. The day took inspiration from the geohistory course carried out by an experimental class which is part of the project “Disegnare il Futuro” (Shaping the Future) promoted and supported by “Fondazione San Zeno” in Verona.
